thanks. that looks like it would work if I wanted to bond the sleeve to the base plate, but I don’t. I actually want to bond the sleeve to the mag itself so it doesn’t move and I still have the ability to remove the base plate.
I was thinking about RTV or some sort of rubbery "filler"to increase the grip. if it worked so that it permanently affixed it to the mag body itself, that would be OK too…

The is one of the only minor downsides of MecGar being the exclusive manufacturer for S&W mags…
That said, I don’t want to know what Grant had to do in order to secure what seems to be the only remaining stock of 8rd Shield mags.

There are several 40’s locally here in ET, but few 9mm’s. I picked one up at Sevier Indoor Range (Sevierville) and there was another at JFloyds Sports.
RTV is great for non permanent stuff like the mag sleeve… Ron
