Does anyone make a holster for the M&P Shield that is super minimalist like the Vanguard (not the PHLster Skeleton)?
Raven refuses to make a Vanguard for the Shield. I’m sure they have their reasons but it doesn’t stop me from wanting a trigger guard only setup like the Vanguard - it’s just so slick for carry.

Here’s my review of a tuckable AIWB Prototype Tony at JM Custom Kydex made for my Shield. Not a VG2, but a great deep concealment option.
To be fair, we haven’t “refused” to make anything. We currently have design and tooling work underway for a variety of handguns, and small pistols like the Shield, XDs, and PPS are definitely on the radar for product development.
I can appreciate customers being eager for us to make the VG2 for their favorite pistol, but encouraging one company to to rip off another company’s unique design is, in my opinion, dirty pool. It’s also kinda bad juju when the product in question is in the final stages of the patent approval process.
I’m happy to try to work with you to find a solution in the interim, but I just want to make it clear that the only thing we have refused is to comment on which model of weapon the VG2 will be released for next.
That’s fine and everything, but two months back when I called to ask about a VG2 for the Shield I spoke with a borderline flippant man on the other end who bluntly told me there were no such plans. When no such product exists with no plans to do so, I would fully encourage someone to make a custom one.
Do you remember who you spoke to? If you called our customer service line it was probably me. If I came across as flippant, I apologize as that is never my intention. Maybe my voice inflection didn’t come across well on that particular call.
Regarding the actual information you received, that is puzzling as well. We receive questions every day on potential upcoming products and our answer is always “We don’t offer it at this time and I am unable to comment on a future release date.” I’m not saying it didn’t happen, but it would be quite rare for an employee to say anything other than that script. We’re well versed in it by now. 
Any information you can provide would be great. Our goal is to provide a friendly and professional conversation with everyone who calls in, even if we can’t offer them the specific product they are looking for.
I don’t think any was was trying to be dirty . A want and a need is a want and a need . If you don’t comment on what’s in production , how is anyone suppose to know you have something in that patent process . With all the kydex guys out their I don’t blame anyone looking for a faster turn around . I had order a raven set up x2 and canceled order with a 16 week wait time after finding a local service that does fabulous work with a 2 day turn around . So I don’t think anyone meant any disrespect or tried to be dirty . When we know what we want , we want it and we want it sooner than later . If there was only one provider of a product then so be it . But with competition it drives the others to up their product and lead times . So please take no offense , I don’t think any was intended .

ETA just noticed you want a belt loop. That holster has a lanyard but no belt loop.

No worries, I don’t. I just want something to fill my need. The easier it is to carry a firearm, the more often I can and will carry one. It’s as easy and concealable to carry a G19 in a VG2 as my shield in an INCOG. A shield in a VG2 would be as easy as it gets.

I’m a big Raven fan and own several. I am also awaiting the VG2 for the Shield. Hope its available soon!
Agreed, and because I don’t want to see another company rip off their design, I bought and INCOG and will wait patiently for s Shield VG2.
