I am trying to get the most bang for the buck and was wondering if anyone might be able to answer a question for me. I have a M&P 45 with thumb safety and a M&P 9. Both will be wearing a X300. If I buy a 6004 for the 45 w/light & thumb safety, will the same holster work for the 9mm with the light?

It will fit, but it will be a little loose.

Loose because of the thumb safety? I can try a buddy’s MP9 in my MP45 6004 this weekend and get back with you, but I don’t have the TS version. Slide width is the same though.

I’d buy MP45 holsters first if there’s any chance you’ll have (or do have) an MP45 on hand. You get the extra relief for slide length and don’t lose anything in trade that I’ve found.

Loose because they are two different size holsters. I have had both, and my 9 was loose in my 45 holster. The 45 wouldnt fit in the 9 holster though.

Roger that. Glad I didn’t get the thumb safety.

Just a note… my 6004 for my M&P 45 takes either… with or without the thumbsafety, as noted on the label.

I have # 6004-519 21. I’ll check it with an MP9 on Sunday. I don’t see any reason why the safety would affect the holster since it isn’t covered or contacted.
