I could have sworn that you could order the 9MM compact without the lock and mag disconnect just like it’s big brother. I called S&W customer service to get the sku number for a compact with night sights, no lock and no mag disconnect and was told that they don’t make one without both of those features. You could get one without the lock but with the mag disconnect, or with the lock and no mag disconnect. Am I losing my mind? I handled one last year without both. I am sure of it because I can’t stand either one of those features and it is the first thing I look for when I pick up an M&P. Do they have LE only SKU’s?

They don’t list any SKUs with N/S but the 209304 has neither of the safeties.
They either were mistaken or you misunderstood.
Right now on my hip sits an M&P9c without a ILS and without a mag disconnect. It was sitting on the dealer’s shelves when I bought it. What mine does not have are night sights.
309704 or 309704LE is the model with night sights and no mag safety or locks.
Call Grant at GandRtactical.com and ask him to set you up with one.

Thanks to all that responded. The lady I was talking to must have been new because she put me on hold every time I asked her a question. There was no confusion on my part because I know exactly what I want.
I’d love to call Grant to order one, but I have a certificate from an IDPA state match for a free M&P. The gun is going to come directly from Smith to my dealer that is why I wanted to get all my ducks in a row before I ordered it.

The mag safety is very easy to remove yourself if you have to get one that way. MP-pistol.com had the instructions posted a while back straight from Dan Burwell.
