How are they holding up so far, and what have you done to them?

My friend picked one up a few weeks ago and ive literally been trying to break it behind his back. 
The gun will goggle up anything you throw at it but it seems to work VERY well on the federal bulk packs from walmart.
Even after rapid fire strings, ie mag dumps the barrel refuses to get very hot. The trigger is halfway decent and mirrors basically any milspec single stage.
The fact that the bolt release/catch works is a major boon on this type of training aid.
Ive heard in passing that SOME people are breaking extractor hooks on these things but we havent experienced that yet with our sample.
For ~400 i would say its well worth the money. You can bring this thing to the range, fire it all day long and never worry about how bad your wallet is taking a beating.
Mine has been good. About 400 rds so far. That’s a bit for rimfire, IMO. Zero malfs. Aquila 40gr and Yellowjackets- likes them both. My barrel also seems to deal well with heat. (not sure how much heat a .22lr is supposed to crank out, though!)

YES! They have threaded barrel versions out now. Grant at G&R Tactical has them in stock. At SHOT they also introduced a Magpul version that comes with MOE CTR stock and grip. This model has QD sling swivel sockets located in the receiver as well.
I love mine or should I say my son loves his.
I ordered the threaded version but am interested to see this version. I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to attach a one-point mount as the TD PR-1 won’t work.
Does anyone have pictures of the MagPul version w/ flash hider? That sounds like a pretty cool little plinker.
All I can say is… FUN…FUN…FUN. I just bought mine a few days ago and put 100 rounds through it today… what a blast! The first round is kinda strange though, you expect the recoil and blast of a 5.56, and get .22. No malfunctions yet with Federal and CCI LRN.
Anyone know when the “magpulized” version is coming?
two of my friends just got the, one has run everything, the other one is experiencing lot of issues with feeding, several different types of ammo and the trigger is not resetting, a round will be chambered but a dead trigger
No complaints about mine thus far, although I only have about 300 rounds through it.
The S&W .22 is a awesome gun so much fun. I just got one about 2 weeks ago, also my first gun I got and I love it.
Forgot to mention thatthe Magpul version also comes with a set of MBUS sights! Avaliable in Black only at his time.
If they would have started with a full magpul setup/threaded barrel they would probably be backordered for the next year.
Yeah, I’m getting a little tired of manufacturers releasing the least desirable versions of firearms first, often without even any mention of the later models to come. It penalizes the early adopters (even more so than they are generally already penalized by becoming the beta testers AFTER purchase, but that’s a whole 'nother topic).
Those that bought the M&P22 early had no idea a threaded version was coming, and those that bought the threaded version had no idea that a version with a single-point sling attachment was coming (I frankly don’t much care if if comes with the Magpul parts or not, even though these are the same parts I’m likely to add myself).
I didn’t buy the one I looked at today… I was surprised to see that there were litterally NO options for upgrades apparent, except of course for optics. The “stock tube” was molded into the upper, as in one-piece. I would want to add a Magpul stock similar to my personal setup. It also had the bull barrel, which I don’t really mind, but the whole thing seemed so LIGHT… I know it’s a .22 and all, but I was really expecting something much beefier feeling. I honestly thought I’d just picked up a cool-looking BB gun or pellet rifle… but had no clue that it was supposed to be an AR…
I would be very interested in a threaded version with Magpul accessories, but that plastic thing I saw today did not impress me at all. Looks like I’ll keep running the drop-in bolt-kit for a while

Well, the weight didn’t REALLY bother me, but it just looked/felt so… fake… being completely made of plastic-ish polymers and having a molded-in stock tube…
I still want to try one, but right now, my money’s going towards a PRS for the AR.
I think I’ll wait a little while and try to find one cheaper later on, or buy a newer version with threaded barrel and different stock.

I think it depends on what you’re looking to get out of it.
By all accounts the rifle is good to go. There are already several shooters reporting 1000+ relatively trouble-free rounds through the guns, and most have found one brand of ammo or another that has been totally trouble-free.
I should be picking one up today if all goes well. I think it is a better option than conversions and dedicated uppers. If the weight bothers you put a lead insert in the pistol grip and motor on.
I agree. I was an early adopter of this platform but thankfully I can get the barrel lathe-threaded for minimal cost (gotta put that Outback II on something new, right?! 
)
