Can anyone post some pictures of their M-4 style carbines with the 14.5" barrel and Phantom flash hider combination? I’m thinking about getting one, but I’d like to see what it all looks like together, I’m sitting wavering between shelling out the extra dough for a KAC QD comp, using the Phantom, with the closed end, and maybe a Gemtech Bi Lock. One way or another, it has to be permanently attached to make it the legal 16" so I’d like to make reasonably sure that I’d be happy with my final decision.

FWIW I am very pissed that I didn’t weld on a silencer mount instead of the Phantom. My best advice when dealing with AR’s is to look way further down the road than you normally would. Pick a QD Silencer that you like (that has a mount that would bring the gun to 16.1"), and spend the extra dough to buy the mount and weld it on. While you can remove a regular FH later if you would like, it is a royal PITA to deal with. I believe that Gemtech, KAC, and maybe the OPS brake would bring the barrel to 16.1". If your heart is set on the Phantom, YHM is making the AAC mounts using their FH tech.

I believe the OP wants to see a 14.5" barrel with M203 cuts, a FSB, and probably standard handguards with the Phantom- preferrably closed port bottom. I think the 9", 12", etc. rails are nice but aren’t helping him.
