LWRC’s site says their uppers are backlogged 14 weeks (5.56). Now, I don’t know LWRC. What does that mean? Does that mean I’ll get my upper in 12-16weeks or do they mean 14 weeks Robinson Armory Standard Time, like I’ll get my upper in 6 mounths…maybe 8 months. ![]()
I ordered mine last fall and it took almost exactly 4 months before it was in my hands. YMMV.
15 months for my 2 rifles. Worth the wait! No failures so far: 6.8/5.56
I can tell you this much, I had one on order with a local “stocking” dealer and he has been waiting for complete guns for 6 months. I got tired of waiting and opted for my 2nd XCR…wait time, 10 minutes.
And per members on XCR forum, wait time is about 6-7 weeks on average…not 5 months or a year. Go to the LWRC forum, and people have been waiting a year for product.
I will revisit them once they moved over and get their fullfiment time down to a reasonable time frame. I would really like an LWRC SBR upper. As far as piston AR15’s go, its hard to get better.
AFAIK they are still moving into their new facility and getting established there.
I’m mildly interested in one of their rifles/uppers, but I’ll be waiting for them to settle in and churning out product at a regular, reliable, and short wait.

I hope they will prove me wrong, but I still believe the wait time will be 3-4 months.
I’ve been waiting six months now (order date was December 27, 2007). They will be less reliant on third-party providers as a result of their move, that may also shorten the wait time.
New post (yesterday or day before) by Jesse at LWRC forums says they’re going to start producing rifles in about five weeks.
Ordered my rifle on 6/18 and was told 14 weeks. I followed up and spoke to Darren, one of their VP’s and he answered the phone in their NEW facility in Maryland. He said the waits should be shorter and that I probably will luck out because I ordered when I did. Hopefully, this means a rifle in 8 or 10 weeks. Fingers crossed.![]()
If you get your gun in 10 weeks lots of people will dislike your guts since they have been waiting 4x’s that. Me included.
My dealer has had guns on order since SHOT
I’M SURE the deliveries will go OLDEST(order) to NEWEST. It can’t work any other way! ![]()
Could it be that all of the major gunmakers get their stuff from the same place? That is to say, does LWRC make their own stuff. Does LMT make their own stuff? Does Noveske make their own stuff? Rock River? CMMG? et al. Do each of these makers have their own in-house machine shops?
What I’m asking is would it be just as well to get a gun in stock someplace, i.e. Charles Daly, and be assured of the same quality/components as a gun you had to wait a year for? Inquiring minds want to know.
