Seems like a nice rifle. Anyhoo, while watching the FutureWeapons spot on the REPR they toured the LWRC testing grounds (or something). The gate guard was carrying some form of AK-47. What does that guy know that we don’t?

On the REPR I would wait and make sure the mag fix has fixed the mag issue with the rifle. It appears to have done so, however I prefer other folks to be the test subjects…

Actually, that AK was the new LWRC DI gas AK conversion. They are also working on a bolt action 1911 pistol.
Mine works - so far. I had to send it back to LWRCI for the magazine modification, but I’ve now had 250 trouble-free rounds with PMAG20LR’s. Prior to this mod it would double-feed every 3rd round. It is the 20" option with PRS stock and Geissele trigger. I have a Nightforce NSX F1 (3.5-15X) mounted on Larue mount. It shot a 5-shot 0.5 MOA group 2 days ago at 100 yards with 168 grain Federal SMK. I plan to take to another range in Charlotte later this week that goes out to 300 yards to get a better feel of its potential. I’ll also run some Hornady 155 and 168 grain A-MAX TAP as these are my preferred zombie stoppers. I should have 500 rounds by the end of the week which, if without malfunction, will completely restore my trust in the weapon.
As for Markm’s comments, he seems to have had a bad experience with the company and likes to voice his distrust on every thread. However, I’d say that his experience seems to be the minority of shooters using LWRCI weapons.
The other reasonable alternatives are the OBR, LMT (16" only), Knights, and a build from GAP.

I have been trying to make up my mind on this. Sold all 3 of my DI guns to get the LMT MRP piston. I have been wanting a 308 AR for a time and was leaning in the direction of the LWRC I hope they fix the issue soon before I but the LMT I like that side charging design a lot.

I, too, have the 7.62 Repr. Great platform and no problems using the 20 rdr. PMags. I have toured the factory, spoke to the reps, hands on demonstrations, spoke to operators/end users, and have had hundreds of rounds through it so far with no issues. Thinking about painting it but have not decided about the colors.

Cancelled my REPR order due to the following:
- Mag catch release issues
- Gas block switch frozen issues
- Hanguard rails not align properly
Will wait till they fix the major issues for now and order either a LMT, KAC or an OBR.

I’m at 600 with no feeding problems after the magazine catch modification. This past weekend, I ran 100 rounds of 155 grain TAP at 100 yards with no malfunctions and 3/4 - 1" groups. Accuracy is better with Federal 168 SMK, but the TAP is my preferred round due to better terminal performance. I tried to get out to the 300 yard range at Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club, but they’ve been closed due to NRA Convention events.
As for the gas regulator, mine is tight but does turn with a tool. I created a modified socket wrench (18mm) for field use. This is also needed since my regulator gets very hot after several rounds.
I’ve had no problems with the hand guard rails. However, I only use them to mount a bipod.
I’ll keep you posted in the next several weeks as I move past 1000 rounds and 300 yards.
LWRC is too much to pay for a non monolith and a snake oil gas piston.

I know how much these guns cost.
The KAC doesn’t mimic a monolith, so it is fine with me.
LWRC and HK417 = smoke and mirrors.
