Looking to get a Sun Devil Lower from Grant for a Christmas present, and will need a lower parts kit. It will be mated to my MRP upper which I plan on getting a replacement barrel for as well.
I would appreciate anyones’ experience with individual manufacturers as the best route to go on this. I’d prefer to do it in a kit form, but if that’s not advisable, I’ll piece it out. Is Armalite any good?
I’ve already decided on a VLTOR, or Magpul stock, just need help with the rest of the kit.
G & R Tactical carries the Stag / CMT LPK’s. When you order the Sun Devil lower, you could add the LPK on the same shipping bill.
Rob_S had an interesting post wherein he priced out all of the Colt lower parts from Brownell’s. The entire list is expensive. However, what caught my attention was the opportunity to purchase a Colt FCG; and purchase Stag / CMT grade roll pins, detent pins, hand grip lock washer, et al .
Considering the fact that most folks are going to purchase an aftermarket hand grip, trigger guard, and trigger pins… there is much merit to the piece mail approach.
This is a simple observation, and I am in no way an advocate for any one manufacurer’s LPK. I would recommend the site sponsors as the first choice for an LPK, though.
