Lower parts kit question

I am a total amateur at this gun building thing. I recently bought my first stripped lower and went to armalite for the lower parts kit. Apparently, the LPK i purchased is for 7.62 vice 5.56. I know (think I know) this because the pivot pin and takedown pins are too big for the lower in both diameter and length. With that said, I installed all the other parts (trigger and springs, hammer, safety selector) into the lower with no problems and functions check seems good to go. My question is two-fold.

a. Is it possible that armalite put the wrong pivot and takedown pins in the LPK?
b. If that is not likely, are all the other parts identical between ar-10 and ar-15?

BTW, for more clarification, the armalite part number is EA6010.

I really think I bought the wrong parts, but would like to know if I can just get the correct pivot and takedown pins and still be good, or maybe get a whole new lpk.

Thanks in advance for looking at this.

at dsg arms it is listed for ar 10

That’s what I thought. But about my other questions, are the parts identical except the pivot/takedown pins? Or do I need to buy a whole nother set?

Pivot & takedown pins are different and so is the mag catch & bolt release IIRC. The rest are interchangeable from what I recall but I only built 2 AR-10s so my memory could be off a bit.

Thanks for the input. I just decided to send back the LPK and ordered the correct one. Next time I will pay a bit closer attention to what I am ordering.:frowning:
