Do I have to take out the selector and pistol grip assembly in order to change the hammer and trigger assembly in my lower? I’m not sure if the selector will be getting in the way (I’m assuming it will). But I’d like to avoid taking apart nearly the whole thing if I don’t have to.
Depends on who made your trigger.

When changing FCGs I always pull the grip off and safety/selector, 1/2 of the time it’ll need to come off anyway so it’s just makes it quicker in the long run.
In this case all that has already been changed. So I don’t want to take it off again unless I have to.

I like he work on ARs everyday. Since I’m not retarded it didn’t take long to figure out, just take the grip off, and the safety out and the replace the FCG group, replace the parts, reassemble and test for function…done.

When the rear of the trigger won’t slip under the selector.
Some do…some don’t.
Just take off the damn grip…

The triggers that do have enough clearance to install without removing the selector, are still easier to install without the selector in the way. It’s one screw, just pull the grip.
