I hope someone can help me with this. I am on my 4th selector on my new POF Gen I lower. In the “fire” position, it is positive and has a solid “click.” However, in the “safe” position, there is a wobble and has a mush feel when moving to “fire.” Not very positive at all.
I have gone through DPMS, RR Star, LMT, and BCM Ambi. The only one that is acceptable is the RR. But, I don’t like that selector configuration.
Any ideas?
Did you change grips? If so there is a spring that you could lose when changing grips that would make the fire selector loose.
+1 on the grip. had this issue with before, had to send the grip back in.
do you have another lower you can swap parts around on to confirm?
Nope, same grip that worked fine with my last lower. Also, the sping is properly in place. I’m just at a loss as to what could be causing this.
the spring AND detent pin are installed correctly right? if so, maybe you just don’t have enough spring pressure/length to make the activation feel more positive
Both are installed correctly. The key to this dilemma is it has a very positive feel in “fire,” but not in “safe.” If they were both loose, I would think bad spring…but, that’s not the case.
