Looking for opinions on FSP light mounts

Hello all,

Looking for opinions on the MI MCTAR 01 and GG&G SLiC Thing and their new Dually mount.
Is the SLiC Thing reversible?

Is mounting on the FSP sturdy?

Thanks

I have my light mounted to the FSB and it is solid as a rock.

MCTAR01 with a Surefire X300 on my patrol carbine.
No complaints:), except that it keeps me from mounting the front sling swivel on the side of the FSP. Not a deal breaker.

Thanks, same set up I’m thinking of. Either that or using the Mini Scout

Consider a G2 or similar light, with a Vltor scout mount. You can get good results and save some coin, depending on your usage and needs.

I have the MCTAR01 mounted on 2 of my carbines, in my opinion
its good kit. I have modified Surefire G2’s mounted in it. Been
through carbine courses no problems. I like that it moves the
light a little bit further forward than any of the rail/light mounts, allowing further arm extention (great on carbine length weapons).
Also frees up rail real estate on carbine length rails, this allows
(me) to use the far end of the rail to mount a QD mount
to switch my sling back and forth from single-point mode to
two-point mode.
