…just like the title saids…I have been looking for about a month now and have come up short everywhere I look…If anyone knows where I can find one in either Khaki or Coyote Brown would be very helpful to me…

Try Polite Society Inc. I got my M4 FB Chest rig from them when no one else had one. That was a couple of months ago.

If you find one, you are indeed a lucky man. I’ve had them on order since last March, and have been out since last summer. Apparently there are a bunch cut out sitting around in the facility waiting to be sewn, but commercial production of, well, everything, has been continually pushed back due to .mil orders.

If you DO find one, post here so I can refer my customers to them.

Eagle makes some great gear but it can be hard to get right now. For some possible alternatives, see the “looking for alleycat pics” thread a few threads back. You can see OSOE’s “MWR” rigs which are a great alternative, and my “alleycat” rigs, which I have since been re-named the “minuteman”. My rigs come with kydex inserts.

There are many other good choices out there. SOTech’s Hellcat series is a classic. DBT’s low profile rigs are nice. TT’s MAV series are another classic. Spectre Gear was probably the first mainstream mfg with the 3-mag format, back when everybody else was sporting 6-12 mags!

Not to take anything away from Eagle, they make awesome gear, but they are hardly the only game in town.

Diz - good point. As has been pointed out by folks far smarter than I, too many are overloading themselves downrange. That seems to be trickling into the L/E realm and the Decent Normal HumanBeing training side as well.
Cannot comment on their load bearing gear but their slings are sewn pretty darn well.

Yeah, I’ve been seeing this trend trickle down to the earth people. Lighter load-outs, more emphasis on speed and mobility.

Erick, ALCON- Specter sold bunches of their chest rig to area cops while still CQB Solutions. They’re simple, but built well. I used one as a primary for my patrol rifle for a few years, until I switched to the Eagle. Still using the Specters as back-up kit, though, and they’re still going strong.

Also noteworthy: Specter took good care of a couple of agencies that wanted gear but didn’t have much of a budget to do it with. That’s not been forgotten.

I you or anyone else here is interested, SKD Tactical has the “Eagle Chest Rig, Universal/SKD Version” in stock in Khaki & OD Green. I just got mine in the mail today!

I think those were the only colors Eagle shipped, because the Ranger Green and MultiCam versions I ordered are still backordered, but I got the Khaki…FYI, these orders had been placed last April!!!
