I USED to carry a Peacekeeper collapsible baton at work. These things are awesome, and proof that a collapsible baton can be incredibly effective if designed correctly. The problem is, even though the baton positively ROCKS, the holsters the company sells for the baton are junk. Over the course of only a couple years, two of their holsters fell apart on me, and the best the company would do is offer a discount on more of their worthless holsters. In over six years, NONE of my other duty gear has fallen apart on me like that, and if it did, I’m confident Safariland/Bianchi would make it right. Can’t say the same for Peacekeeper.
That said, I’m looking for a reliable manufacturer that stands by their work that I could perhaps send my baton to and have them make a holster that won’t fall apart on me. The Peacekeeper has a wider diameter than all of the other expandables out there, so a generic ASP holster isn’t going to work.
If any of you can recommend someone for this job, let me know. I would love to send them my money.
RDR custom kydex made me a custom sheath with a BFG Tourniquet Now holder on top that mounts to the MOLLE on my vest. Great work and Jeff is a shooter in addition to a craftsman. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from him again.
Take a look at HSGI. They just make a taco specifically for batons. I think that will be perfect because it will expand as needed. It’s not bulky and it holds very well.
If you dead set on kydex I know that Raven Concealment makes an Asp holder. You might be able to call then and have them make you a custom one for the size you need.
Started with nylon, and the belt loop came unstitched gradually from the tube. Then I went to the plastic rotator, and the teeth for that broke very suddenly and tube fell off my belt entirely while I was on duty. They didn’t exactly stand behind their product.
