Im looking for some recomendations for an armor/plate carrier.
I currently have an ACU iotv that was army issue. I got it from a friend. I outfitted it with a few pouches and plates and whatnot. I do like it alot.
I absolutely hate the ACU camo.
Im currently on the market for a new kit. My mind is open as possible.
I looked at possibly a Tag Banshee plate carrier and then buying a battle belt and outfitting that.
Im still leaning toward my current setup. The iotv I have has soft armor and plates. It also extends to my belt line. Im very comfortable with the iotv and my sidearm on a drop holster on my regular belt. I understand many people think the iotv is very heavy and bulky for its purpose so my opinions may be in the minority.
Im interested in armor carriers on the market I can buy in Coyote brown that mimic the iotv in relations to length.
Im also willing to listen to opinions as to why I should go the plate carrier and battle belt route instead of an armor carrier.
Ive done my own research… but it serves little purpse without experience of particular companies.
I found an armor carrier similar to the iotv that will fit the current soft armor I have… but Ive never heard of the company before. any opinions?
