looking for a specific "unknown" 9mm rifle question

Hey guys,

first, don’t know if I’m posting this in the right spot, o well.

Second, I had a gun, say 8 years ago that was a cheap ass plastic 9mm carbine rifle. I have actually seen one at a big 5 a few years back but forgot to ask what brand it was (lol, yea, I owned a rifle that I completely had no idea what the brand was. I got it with a slew of pistol mags, and shot the living hell out of it. Was a pretty damn fun rifle, but worthless for anything aside from plinking).

I’m basically wondering if anyone has any ideas on what it could be. It was like said, pretty much all injection molded plastic, minus the barrel/bolt etc. Looked a bit “space like”. I’d like to find one again just for the point of having something to take out and shoot the piss out of for next to nothing (my 22’s just don’t cut it anymore, and this isn’t for strict target practice, so the other guns don’t either).

Anyone have an idea? It was only a hundred an fifty or something bucks in the end.

Wish I had more info to give up for an idea, but with as many people around here that prowl gunshops, I figured someone might just spout out a brand or two they think fits.

Answered my own question thanks to google images. Was a hi-point. Heck yea was a POS rifle, but man, it was fun, and cheaper than hell to shoot.

Damn, that’s exactly what I was gonna say it was.

<<< owns a POS C9

Like said, for as much as a POS it was, considering the build of it out of plastic, it was semi-accurate, and always, I mean always went bang, even in absolutely crazy low temps. I guess it was more of just a buy because I had some extra money floating around, and never really payed attention to what it was. All I cared was that it went bang, hit the target most of the time, and was a cheap way friends and family could shoot, without them wanting to go through ammo on the more expensive guns.

By and large, HiPoint makes much better weapons than the other crap within the same price range.

There new stuff actually looks much better than the old. They have definitely moved towards a better arena in terms of having decent guns for an ultra low price. Was looking through their new stuff last night. I had one of the older Camo injection molded models. Like said, no complaints. I call it a POS because well, it’s basically a plastic bullet shooting device. Think they changed the ordeal with their new stocks though, because old old ones were pretty ghetto fab. If you have ever seen some of those chinese injection molded toys in quarter machines that kids get, the old stocks reminded me just of such. (of course none of this is what matters though, as the bolt and barrel were IMO where the majority of the money went in the over cost of the gun mfg. So heck, make it a paper mache stock, if it works and is sturdy, and basically makes all cost go to the mechanics and barrel, the more power to them.

Exactly. When you’ve spent more money on a buttstock than the cost of a new Hi-Point, it’s hard not to wanna try it out just for the hell of it. It’ll probably last just fine, and if it blows up, you mail in the parts and they get a new one
