Looking for a good vest (like the Camelbak Delta 5 Vest!!!)
in a good real man size (like XXXL!)!!!
Must have a zipper on the front and no pouches fix on the body!
Can somebody help me???
You wont find anything in standard production. If you are willing to spend the money, John Willis from Original SOE Gear will build you one.
You may have better luck using a chest rig unless you want body Armor also. You can also Call Eagle and see if their Molle Tac-Vest will expand out to that size- I believe they still use 550 cord to lace up the rear sides of the vest and all yo would need to [possibly] do is add a longer piece of 550 cord to expand it out farther- but you will also have to think about shoulder adjustment (from the chest over top to your upper back).

Thanks for the pointer to a custom maker. When funds allow, I’d like to get some body armor, but there is nothing “off the rack” that even comes close to fitting me (our German friend is a nigh anorexic waif by comparison).
I’m guessing that since good armor/panel & plate carriers can get really spendy that a customized ginormous version would be … exceptionally spendy.
Where is John Willis located? I wish there was someone in Indiana who could do this, because fitting in person would make a huge difference in getting it right. Dimensions do not always scale 1:1 when making something for a big guy.

Nigh = near
Anorexic = suffering from anorexia, an eating disorder that makes the sufferer very thin.
Waif = I think this means a starving homeless child.

I am stoutly built as well and I am at the upper limit of standard nylon gear. I wish somebody made a slightly bigger Level IV armor plate.
Did you guys Know that Dragon Skin by Pinnacle Armor can make any size or shape plate you need. I believe two 10" X 12" plates made of Dragon Skin would cost about $1,100 (but that could be for just 1 plate, I’m not certain). Dragon skin is the way to go anyway, it’s flexible, defeats higher threats, and can be custom fitted to your body just like a suit from a tailor.
Give them a call, they could probably build you the vest to go with it.
HolyRoller got it exactly right! I was implying in a humorous way that no matter how big you are, I am probably bigger. So I understand the difficulties you are facing, which are probably worse on your end since you probably have a limited selection of such gear in the EU.
