I received my DDM4 V7 yesterday. I ran 200 rounds through it as soon as I got home. No problems what-so-ever.
This is my first AR with a free float handguard of any sort. I have confidence that Daniel Defense sends these things out good to go, but you can never be too careful. Is there any purpose in removing the handguard mounting screws and applying loctite to them?
I use locktite on pretty much anything that I don’t want to come loose. I have an American Defense mount that came with some locktite wanna-be stuff but it failed me (was pinkish/red colored). One of the screws backed out on me after about 1/2 case of ammo but I noticed it and found it thankfully.
Last thing I want is for a critical piece of equipment falling off my gun. Looking down and seeing nothing where the mount/item should be is an OH SHIT moment I avoid. BTW I always use blue & purple. Never red.
