For whatever reason, my wife is more palatable to having a shotgun for HD than a handgun. I’d like to put up a single horizontal shotgun rack in my bedroom closet. Besides a trigger lock or cable lock through the action, is there any other options for security? I have an infant/toddler, hence why I am willing to trade some degree of security for speedy deployment
Most secure storage racks have a locking bar and doors (like so http://www.secureittactical.com/). There are bolt mount racks for vehicles though that have timer delay/keylocks http://www.tufloc.com/ and http://www.santacruzgunlocks.com/racks/931.html
I think Brownells carries some of them, and Gander Mountain also has stuff for hunting.
