Local PD Officer friends involved in standoff right now.

Earlier today some whackjob had police called on him by his wife. He confronted police with a couple firearms and then ran, burst into a house and barricaded himself inside.

So far he has killed one Police Dog and wounded a sheriffs deputy. One of my friends is in the SWAT team waiting to move in and another is on the scene as backup.

It is strange. I just finished doing work on my buddies M4 the other day. Tried to help him fix the FUBAR job the department armorer had done. Weird to think he may be shooting someone with it today. Can’t say it is a good feeling. But a strange one to be sure.

Anyway. Would appreciate some good thoughts towards the wounded officer and the handler of the K9 who was killed. Right now the guy is still holed up in the house so here is to hoping that nobody else except him are hurt.

Just saw it on Indy news. Thoughts are with the good guys.

Prayers out to the down and injured officers and all others in harms way. Hopefully scumbag takes himself out without further good guy injuries.

Might want to edit that, I thought from the sound of it that the K9 handler had been killed.

Sorry I guess I worded things badly… My friends are on the local PDs. The guy who has barricaded himself inside is apparently from one of the local Fire departments but nobody I know. I will edit the OP to make things more clear.

Also I would nto say I am excited that a firearm I worked on is involved. As I said. It is just a strange feeling…

Prayers sent for the wounded deputy, and for the fallen K9. I am glad that no additional good guys were hurt.

We had a K9 killed here in Phx this weekend too. :(… and a wounded copper.

At least they killed the fucktard they were after. Some roach hopping backyards with a gun.
