Last time I checked the LMT complete lowers came with Ergo grips, but now on their site they show Tango Down. Did they make a change? (for the better IMHO)

I think that’s just an old stock photo. IIRC, they used to come with the TD but then switched to the Ergo a couple of years ago. I’m not sure when the change took place.
Mine came with the Ergo. I tried it and didn’t like it, but there are worse grips on the market.

Believe you are correct. Have not seen a single LMT product come with a TD BG.

my defender lower with SOPMOD stock came from LMT with a TD battlegrip, but this was about 3 years ago.
Yep, such as the Tango Down! ![]()
I switched my Ergo out for a TangoDown Battlegrip. The TD feels much better and is not as thick. The rubber on the Ergo made it feel too thick.
I think I recall reading that they were also coming with ambi safeties at some point.
I bought one a few years ago, and it came with a standard safety and an A2 grip. I replaced the A2 with a Magpul MIAD, but it now wears a TD BG since I moved the MIAD to another build. Never tried an Ergo.
LMT lowers come with the Ergo grip now. You can purchase the TD grip from LMT seperately. I’m disappointed since I’m a big fan of the TD grip and do not like the Ergo grip at all. When I ordered lowers for stock, I asked if they would switch the grips to TD, but they said no. I’d rather have an A2 grip than the Ergo grip.
The ambi safety is an option on the complete lowers, not standard.
My complete LMT lower, acquired in Fall '06, came with a TD grip.
All LMT lowers currently ship with Ergo’s - this is straight from Monica.
I’m glad there is so many different grips available. It’s a subjective decision, I think the TD grip is the WORST one available. I like the MIAD and the Ergo. The Ergo is ugly but very comfy IMO.
I think they put on what ever they can get at the time. I have seen a good mix of both the TD grip and the Ergo. Of the three LMT complete lowers that I have bought, all had the TD BG.
