One of my MRP barrels(14.5 in 5.56mm) will not work properly.
When I torque it into the upper,the bolt will no longer lock into the barrel extension.
My 16 inch 5.56 works great though.
Any of you guys ever have this problem with yours??
Make sure the barrel isn’t canted in the upper.
Forgive my ignorance but how is this accomplished?

If it is canted(Assuming I can see it) what is the fix?
Pretty much just keeping it as straight as you can while torquing the barrel down. Then test the bolt to see if it’ll lock up.

It was indeed canted.
Torquing it down is what caused it to get canted.
Tried to keep it straight as possible as it was being torqued but in the final turns the gas tube would always slowly raise untill neither the charging handle or the bolt would function.
I’d call LMT tomorrow. Something doesn’t sound right.
NEVER MIND…REMOVED HEAD FROM REAR END.
There is no barrel nut.
