LMT Lower Options....

Guys,
I’m trying to decide on a lower receiver from LMT. I have always thought there were TWO different LMT lowers. One is the Defender 2000, and I don’t remember the name of the other.
Anyhow, here is a link from Ranier Arms, and I would like to know the difference between the three choices???
WHAT does “LEO” mean??

Also, WHAT does one get for the $330??? If you spend $330, do you only get the receiver, and NOT a stock or buffer tube/buffer???
What do I have to spend, to get an LMT lower, with a STANDARD trigger, and preferably WITHOUT a stock, as I want to use my Magpul CTR, so I really don’t want to buy a stock IF I don’t have to…

What do I need???

Well I just got the LMT site to load.
Tons of lower options.

I would like to know what exactly is the difference between the Defender lower (at bottom) for $330, and the other lowers?

Is the ONLY difference, the SOPMOD stock, AND the two stage triggers???

Are there ANY other differences between them???

You’d need to call them and ask them to assemble it the way you want it.

Another option they have is a Sabre Defense lower w/Stag lower parts kit installed. That way you could use your CTR without having to ditch an unneeded stock. Not sure if a Stag LPK meets your requirements though.

Sabre Defense Lower

LEO = Law Enforcement Only markings

They only sell complete lowers. If I were you I’d buy the lower with the standard stock and trigger put your CTR on it and sell the standard stock.

Their other lower is called the Guardian, it’s full auto.

The $330 standard lower Defender 2000 are fine, they only come with the LMT marked M4 buttstock.

That’s what I got and I just installed my Magpul CTR and it’s better, feels more solid than the original M4 stock.

If you would like to have the LMT SOPMOD stock or for a later build, it’s better to order the lower with it because the stock is cheaper together with a lower than buying just the SOPMOD stock by itself later on.

If you prefer the law enforcement use only markings at the right side of the magwell get their LEO version lower.

The two stage triggers are better for competition and target shooting or if you want to have a better than stock trigger.

I recommend the version with the two stage trigger unless you are planning on some other upgraded trigger.
One of my lowers has the Sopmod and an LMT two stage trigger.
I go back and forth between CTR and Sopmod though…

Just a FYI the LMT standard stock is not a standard M4 type stock but a LMT redesign that locks up very, very tight with zero rattle.
