LMT LM8 MRP Upper ?'s

Hello, I tried to search but could not find the answer to my questions:

  1. I know that LMT is very back ordered, and the events in December didn’t help much either, but have they released the LM8 slick receiver as an upper? I see the full rifles available for sale, but no uppers.

  2. While I can’t get it done at the moment, I would really like to fill out paper work for SBR with suppressor in the future. With that said, I would like to convert the gun to a 12.5" in piston (I have read up on the advantages of a piston system for my desired set up). Will the LM8 upper be able to be converted to 12.5" piston?

If there is another thread on this already please point me in the right direction. I saw some piston MRP threads, but they were outdated.

The LM8 should convert to a piston. However I would make sure you like pistons on the ar system first. I put one on my mrp. Fired a couple of hundred rounds suppressed and not and then took the piston system out and sold it. One of the great benefits of the mrp system!
I’m also waiting for them to come out with decent rail panels before I consider the 556 slick rail.
