LMT Front Sight from Bravo Company, Question

The LMT upper I just bought from Bravo Company came with a front site marked “B2” (I think that is what the mark is). I was told it would be better if it was an “F” sight and that I would have trouble zeroing this “B2” whit a back up iron sight because it in not an “F”. Can anyone shed some light on this? If this is the case I am a little surprised. Maybe it was a lack of parts, lower cost, or another reason I am not aware of. Thanks guys!

I just received my new LMT 16" upper too (private sale) and noticed there is no “F” stamped into the FSB as well. There is some type of indistinguishable marking on the starboard side of the sight, but I haven’t a clue what it says or means.

ETA: Just found LMT doesn’t mark their FSBs. Sure wish that search function was working.

I’d be highly surprised if LMT was sending out uppers with incorrect height front sight bases. Someone may be along that knows what’s up with the different markings but I’d guess you’ll be fine. I wouldn’t worry as much about the markings on every piece when getting reputable gear. Just take it out and shoot it.

LMT does not mark their FSB’s, but they are the correct height (F).

Correct lmt doesnt have an F marked FSB’S because because all they have ever made where flat tops uppers.
