Trying to take off the castle nut for a single point sling adapter and it’s not coming off my LMT lower. It’s not staked so I am thinking they use loctite when they put the receiver extension nut on. I’ve got it in my receiver block which is locked in tight in my vise and it’s not budging. Any thoughts? Heat gun maybe?
I’ve never seen a LMT with Loc-Tite. They always have some seriously staked on end plates.
Its staked , I just did two of mine. You need one of those AR wrenches that looks like a crow bar. Its worth it though, they are bad ass.
I do have the tools. It was loctited. I used a heat gun, didn’t work. Had to cut the castle nut off in front of the end plate. Came off obviously after that. Now have to get a new buffer tube and castle nut. Ok though.

Ill post a pic when i get batteries for my camera. I bought used (good condition) I guess that explains it all. I emailed the dude that sold it to me and he said he didn’t mess with the lower at all. I did some research today and didn’t see anything stating LMT loctites their castle nut. I figure that dude is lying.
