Got my LMT 308 and want to switch out the A2 with a brake? I 3Gun a lot and have an SJC on my MEGA. Anyone have any first hand input on a brake on their LMT? Is it super harsh with the 16" CL?
I am looking at AAC or SF for a future suppressor purchase… Thanks!

I have an sjc titan on my LMT MWS. It cuts the recoil down by about half (subjectively). The cost for this recoil reduction is one hell of a blast to anyone at my side. I been about 6 feet to the side when a buddy of mine was shooting it and I could clearly feel it. I have a 16 CL barrel fyi.

Thanks for the input. I love the SJC on my MEGA. It really cuts down on recoil and follow ups are hammered pairs fast 1" apart out to 30-35 yards. It is very loud and blast is ok. I figured the SJC would be even worse on a 16" gun…

I have an pws fsc30 on mine. A bit blasty, especially in prone, but reduced to roughly the recoil of .223.
I’m a fan of my BABC on my 16.
I hunt with it and while it’s still definitely a 308, it tames some of muzzle movement and is nothing like a open brake. I’ve often wanted to try SF’s brake on the gun, but I know my hunting buddies would not appreciate it. I still may try it, lol.
I don’t have an MWS but have an 18" Mega MA-Ten and I used an OPS Inc brake (standard brake, not a suppressor mount) on mine. I also have Slash’s heavy buffer system to go along with it. The recoil is minimal, blast sucks next to it but you’ll get that with any brake.
What is nice about the OPS is it is a dual baffle system and the first opens up a slight more on top so there is a nice up and out “butterfly” signiture if any from prone. Dust kick up is minimal. Definitely look into the OPS as an option.
I will look into the OPS and I am looking at a SF. I use a SF MB556K
On my 3Gun upper. I really like it… So I am leaning toward the MB762-211C…

Ordered my SF brake…but its backordered from Brownells. I hope it comes in soon. i may run a comparision with it and take the SJC off of my MEGA
