Does lmt make a 300 blackout barrel yet?
I don’t think it is shipping yet.
I emailed LMT on Sunday about 300 AAC barrels and they said fall (that and .260 Rem MWS barrels).
Spooky
Last time I emailed and spoke on the phone with them was March I think. They said they were at that time waiting on factory ammo to become more available for testing.
From your info that may mean that ammo is available, at least to them, for testing if they forcast fall. Cool.
Rem factory supersonic ammo is available to them at the end of the month. We already shipped it to some customers.
I called and talked to them yesterday. They said barrels would be available next month…don’t know if he meant July or August. Sellling price of $346 just like the other barrels.
Are they chrome lined like their 5.56 offerings?
300 AAC Blackout and 260 Rem MWS barrels! Sweet!
We make 260 barrels:

It is hard to resist 300 WM trajectory with less recoil than a 308.
Unfortunately not for the MWS!
Do you see a lot of folks suppressing the .260? What suppressors are they using mostly?
AAC Cyclone would be good.
300 AAC Blackout has been outselling it many many many times over.
You can put any barrel into the MRP or MWS:
$150 MRP or $170 MWS
I thought about going that route, but $200 for the barrel mininum plus $150 for the conversion vs $350 for a LMT barrel. I think I will wait.
Same thoughts I have. I see no real need for the conversions except if you’re shooting 6.8 and/or want a 20inch 5.56 barrel. LMT has good offerings in everything else.
I head most weapon manufacturers have already designed their platforms around the 300 whisper because the ammo is virtually the same and readily available with Hornady.
The Hornady ammo has been available to a few makers for a month or two. The Rem subsonic ammo has been available much longer than that - about 9 months.
For supersonic - yes - the Hornady is out now. You can design your rifle around a combination of Rem subsonic and Hornady supersonic ammo.
Or if you want to shoot 7.62x39, any wildcat, or desire a particular spec that LMT won’t offer (like not budging on 6.8spc that you alluded to).
Dennis is working on my 3rd conversion as we speak (BHW 18" 6.5PCC with pinned Noveske switchblock… 223 parent case wildcat). Still waiting on dies and an 762-SDN-6. He converted my 10.5" Noveske 300FB before 300BLK was a reality and my 20" Noveske 6.5 Creedmoor for the MWS (all in cost right at the $700 LMT charges for its stainless 308s).
Will be cool if LMT does release the chromed 300BLK barrel for $344 as based on the picture from SHOT they had what looked like a 16" stainless barrel with pistol gas on display.
die anyone have any info on what barrel lenght the 300 will be in? seems like I read 12.5 and maybe 16 to start. Just wondering cause I really need 16 no sbr for me.
We use proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar around here.
Why do I see spelling mistakes from others in this thread? I really do appreciate your answer to my question though.
