So I got my new LMT, night before last. I’ve barely had time to hold it, let alone post about it. I can’t give a range report, as I haven’t had it to the range…that’s tomorrow. There’ve also been reports already, from people more accomplished than myself. I’ll just tell you my inital thoughts. First off, it came in a cardboard box, with one mag, sling, 3 rail covers, torque wrench, and manual. The fit and finish I thought was good, or good +, but I didn’t expect crap so that’s likely understated. It felt pretty heavy at first, compared to my MRP. OAL is about the same as the MRP with 16" bbl installed. Weight with empty mag inserted was 10.5 lbs, compared to 9 llbs for the MRP + oetech. I had been thinking that this would be a slow fire, sort of sniper/counter sniper rifle for me. I was going to put a PRS on it, but with the 16" bbl, I think it’ll be a really fast handling rifle and I’ll probably do CQB/Service Rifle with it. The SOPMOD stock is just fine, for now. Overall I’m very happy with it, although I’ve never handled a SR25, or an LT OBR, so cant compare. Heres a couple of pics. My apologies for the poor quality.
