I designed this type of sling a while back with John Willis using plastic hardware and fast tecs.
I said screw this shiite and took it up a notch. Here it is, regular 1" webbing with black metal hardware and a 1" cobra buckle.
Before anyone posts about shit like it being connected to 550 cord, realize that this isn’t optimal for me. I am using it because a particular type of buttstock that I have.
I usually would attach the male portion to a ball detent pin via 1" webbing and mate that with the correct receiver on a buttstock, but I have a magpul ctr stock, which only has a detent pin receiver in the rear of the stock vice the front of the stock.
The 550 allows me to girth hitch around the tube of my m4, the weight of the weapon cinches the 550 and it wont slide much, if at all.
