Well finally got my first AR15 together. Got a chance to take it out to the range today and it ran like a raped ape. 500 rnds and not a hiccup.
Build Sheet: Lower: Tactical Innovation T15 forged lower (in retrospect I would have rather went with a DD lower for a better magwell, but live and learn.)
Upper: VOLTR MUR (great upper, cant say that it is functionaly any different than a forged upper but it sure do look purty;) LPK: Adco (went in easy) Trigger: Gissele SSA (This is my first AR 15 but I have ran many of them when I was in the military and I can without a doubt say that this thing is the cat’s ass. smooth, crisp and robust enough to last.) KNS GenII ModII Pins: I will probably get rid of these and put in the pins that came with the Gissele. I just dont see the need for them now that I have them) BCG: BCM auto Ionbonded (finish is well done) Barrel: BCM BFH 11.5" (More accurate that I am) Gas Block: VLTOR Low Profile (Had some trouble getting the gas tube roll pin in but no biggie) FF Rail: Viking Tactics VTAC 11" Extreme Rail. (I centered my build around this rail and it is even better than I could have imagined. Light / strong / easy to remove and install. I was worried about heat transfer but after three mag dumps in a row I could still hold it with a bare hand.) Muzzle Brake: KAC Triple Tap (Follow up shots are really quick. Is it worth the price of addmission? I will have to wait and see after I try out the PWS part on my other build.) Optic: Aimpoint T-1 (Awesomeness) Optic Mount: Daniel Defense (Light and super stable) BIUS: Daniel Defense Fixed sights (I dont want to have to jack with deyploying folded sights shoule the T-1 go down) Light mount: Gearsector offset mount (fit and finish is great and it snugs up nice and tight) Light: Elzetta zfl-m60 (This light is crazy bright and has a high and low setting. I wont list all the specs here but I would highly suggest doing a google search on this thing. I know that Stick has done a write up on this and I plan to as well when I get a chance to run it hard) Charging Handle: BCM Gunfighter Medium Latch (Built like a tank) Buffer and Spring: H buffer and regular spring from BCM Magpul Goodness: AFG (stippled by me), CTR, MIAD, ASAP and MS2
I haven’t gotten a chance to realy run it hard with malfunction drills but from the limited use I have put it through it seems very functional. Hopefully I will be able to get to a course and realy put it through its paces.

Very true. This was to be my go to carbine and HD weapon so no expense was spared. I am in the process of building a pinned 14.5 rifle as a back up rifle / something easier to travel to classes out of state with.
I absolutely love these Troy VTAC rails. You wouldn’t happen have a pic of your 3 gun rifle up on the boards would you? The pics of your lightwieght build is what pointed me towards the Troy / VTAC rails.
If I read the list of parts on a piece of paper I’d be rolling my eyes… yet somehow, even though there’s stuff on it I don’t see as necessary, it’s still a “slick” gun. I like it.
Thanks Mark. Yeah, I expect that this rifle will go through some evolution as I figure what works for me and what doesn’t. My plan is to run this thing extremely hard in the following months. I am going to see how many rounds I can get through just throwing lube at it before I get a malfunction.
