I’ve been trying to find the perfect pair of boots but my feet have really limited me. I usually wear a 12.5 EEEE shoe and can’t find any light weight hiking boots that are wide enough. Anyone have any advices?
Appreciate any help.

I have interest in this as well, I wear 12 EEEE.
New Balance makes wide widths, although they are limited to hikers.
Salomon makes a Discovery GTX “W” & Quest 4D GTX “W” that denotes a WIDE feature.

Comet GTX are the heat as well BUT do not come in “W” as of yet as I understand it.
They are extremely comfortable.
worth a look
HTH…
Got a 14 4E here and been using the Belleville boots in XW as of late.

I wear 13 EEEE and am happy with the fit of my new Merrell Moabs. You may want to give their line a try to see if they have something that would work for you.
I’ve also heard Danners go really wide, but I’ve never tried them.
I’d point you in the direction of Danner Boots, specifically the bonded sole boots like in the TFX series for a lightweight boot. Good luck and let us know what you find that fits.
I’ve always wondered if there was a boot company that would allow me to purchase a 12 R and a 12 EE as one set. My left foot is wider than my right which causes all kinds of problems when doing long marches and the such…Anyone ever hear of it?
I know that Whites and Drew’s Boots will do this for a customer, but these are probably not the boots you’re looking for. They are heavy hand lasted/built/stitched boots like all Forest Service firefighters wear. You might try direct from Danner and see what they’ll do for ya.
i appreciate the heads up, i looked for half a hour and the W stands for women instead of wide
fack.
I thought Danner ran on the narrow side.
I wear a 12EEE. I like Red Wing boots. They wear well. Their warranty is excellent. Plenty of options available. Most models are made in the USA.
I have heard they will sell right and left in different sizes to fit you properly.
No, I wear Danner’s in 2E and I think they go up to 4E.
Good I am not the only one out there with flippers!
RED WING is the only boot that fits me w/o pain. I too have a EEEE or 4E. I went to a shoe shop/leather repair shop and was told 4E is actually H width. You might have luck searching that way. My experience is W and XW are nowhere wide enough for me. I no longer get ingrown toenails now that I have a wide enough boot/shoe. My foot used to hang over the side of my sole. Not anymore. My Redwings are also made in America. Not all of their line is.
I wear their 607’s. I think the 608’s are in brown. They are not light weight but fit!
I will look into them. What I need are light wieght, tactical boots. I wear Redwing pull-on boots when I get the chance to be a civilian! :sarcastic: I have found that the leather will stretch quite liberally after a few good days wearing them.
I tried a pair of the red with g Wellington group s but could not get my Foo into the boot! Would have need awesome for those trips to the wood pile and outhouse at deer camp!
I have semi-wide feet, and the regular width Moabs fit me fine. The wide are actually wide fr a change. Comfortable, light, and breathable.
I wrote a review of the Danner Corvallis boot a few weeks ago. https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=78595
They are around $160. My foot measures 10.5 - 11 EEEE, and the pair I bought was a 11 EE. They fit wonderfully. They are made in china Danners, but of great quality I have found. They might work for you.
