Light primer strikes Beretta 92A1 with RWS 124gr ball ammo

If its anything, it would be the mainspring. a lighter hammer moves faster and should actually impart more energy to the primer all things being equal.

I had issues with a batch of RWS frangible non-toxic ammo in my old 92G. Had failures to ignite with both a “D” spring and a stock spring. Other than that specific lot, I’ve had great luck with RWS in 9, .40, and .45.

OP, this thread may be of use. I had similar issues. Many suggested cleaning the firing pin channel.
