Any recommendations for a light that gives a good fit? I tried to mount my X300 on it, but it won’t lock.

I have tried an Insight wx150, it’s what I have on there now, and a TLR 1. the WX150 works for my needs but it doesn’t fit very well and needs to be snugged up so tight I can’t remove it without loosening the screws.

the TLR1 fits more securely, and I like the quality of the beam better, but I can’t use it for a pistol as I’m lefthanded and it doesn’t work well that way.

if you’re a righty, I recommend the TLR-1…

Did you try switching the lock plates on the X300?

You have to use the larger one on the X300, otherwise the light will slide around on the rail.

I’m running an X300 with DG switch on my P220 using the “U” mounting plate and it locks on solidly.

Yeah, my X300 only works on my 226R with the U plate, it’s really tight against the trigger guard, it doesn’t slide around at all.

Yes it will. You have to use the universal insert that locks with the set screw wedge.

The universal insert with pull down should also work but I haven’t tried it.
