I purchased my first Colt LE6920 last year, and I at first I was disappointed to find a small blemish in the finish on the brass deflector. I quickly learned that Colt is not known for their stellar finish, but that they produce a rock solid military grade weapon. I’m not here to complain, but instead I’m curious if anyone else has ever come across or seen a similar defect. The spot looks like a ding prior to anodizing or a small blemish in the forging process. I no longer consider this a defect, but it’s more like a birthmark. I still see threads from time to time about new rifles with scratches or marks. Anyone else have any photos of factory blemishes or tool marks that make your rifle unique?
