LED upgrade for Surefire lights?

Are there any LED upgrades for Surefire lights such as the 6P and G2?

Surefire P60L

Check out www.malkoffdevices.com

LA Police Supply has them in stock

Thanks for the info. Didn’t know that Surefire had an LED replacement lamp.

SF P60L’s are in stock!

from another thread…

Instead of running a Scout, I run a E2D body with a LU60A conversion…inside the conversion is a Malkoff devices P60 Drop in Module.
I have been working with Gene now for a few months and his drop ins are pretty amazing! I have been running extensive and honestly pretty damn rough testing and all is good… my son has even played baseball with the light.

His drop ins are only $55 and $78 for the LU60A coversion kit $110 for E2D. So either spend a wopping $243 or if you have a E2D/E2E body layin around its a great build!

Or the cheap route is a G2 nirtolon $36 and $55 drop in and you have yourself an el cheapO torch!

He is building newer and smaller ones for E2D heads but it is a work in progress. He will be a SHOT this year so feel free to pic his brain.

You can drop this in any 6P style head up to a 9v system (Awsome run time 5.5hrs)

This scout version runs at 230 lumens for 3.5 hours

This is a standard 6P C2 Centurion next to it…

Travis,

Can you explain how you assembled this? I may go the same route.

It’s a lot cheaper than doing this to a scout.

He bout a SF E2D, LU60A, LT mount and an aftermarket LED. That package is at least $294. If you went with a cheaper mount that wasn’t offset, you could drop the price another $50.

If you don’t want an offset mount and are looking for an integrated mount, we sell the SF Scout bodies (MH60), SF Scout conversion head (LU60A) and the E series click tail caps along with the LT Scout Mounts for about $258.

What about the SF LED conversion lamp assembly for the 6P/G2?
Do you have them?

The P60L is the Surefire LED conversion for the 6P, 9P, G2, G3, G2Z, C2, C3, Z2, Z3, and D3 – or any other light that takes that size lamp assembly. Like some of the Wolf Eyes and Fenix lights will probably accept it too.

I did have them, but someone came into the store and bought them all yesterday.

I have more on order.

I’ll be upgrading my 6 series lights soon with these. They’ll pay for themselves-that’s if you are buying batteries.

The big advantage is the longer run time and lessens the chance of no light-that’s a crappy time. Stronger bulb as well.

I just finished mounting G2L lights to all of our rifles and shotguns. they are a pretty nice light. For our purposes (patrol use) I think they would benefit from click on tailcaps but otherwise they are good to go.

I know they are Chinese, but the Ultrafire rechargeable “123a” equivalents at 3.7v x2 really make the new P60L shine.

Love the combo.

Is there a mount that one can use on the skinny E2 series, non-scout, bodies?

Yes, either the VLTOR E-series mount or the SureFire M78.

I don’t have the ultrafire’s (bought AW’s from CPF) but the RCR123’s are the answer. I’ve been using them for a year now I guess (?) and have not had a protected RCR123 go bad. The double length 17670 sticks don’t hold up though, under recoil or regular use. YMMV.

Working mids with a couple LED’s on hand the rechargeable lithiums are the only way to fly and still have gas money.

The Elzetta mounts come with a set of shims to fit smaller diameter lights.

The Vltor rings are pretty nice. I used them to mount G2L lights on all of our issue shotguns.
