Leatham Standards?

I got a handfull of emails asking about this one that I mentioned on our intro, so I figure just post for all.

First, let me say that this is our name for it. We stole it from robleatham.com. I think it is actually a Bianchi type stage or event. Maybe Larry or someone else can help us ID the origins.

This is one we use a lot when we don’t have a lot of time to set up. For us, proabably the second most popular behind the Hack. It works great with our target systems as well.

10 yds - 6 seconds for 6 plates X 2
15 yds - 7 seconds for 6 plates X 2
20 yds - 8 seconds for 6 plates X 2
25 yds - 9 seconds for 6 plates X 2

There are 48 plates total, no make up shots (one bullet per plate).
All from the holster.

Standards for our guys are 40 and above. If a guy cleans it, decrease time by .50 for each yard line.

Enjoy!

That is the plate stage for the Bianchi Cup. The top shooters will run it clean. It is very impressive to watch.

i have shot them clean a few times. but it’s very easy to crash and burn on these. most shooters myself include will start to drop shots when the shooter starts watching the plates rather than the sights. you must stay focussed on that front sight in order to clean these stanards.
