Feel free to flame. It’s 5:45 AM here in Afghanistan, I’ve been up for quite a while over here and am trying to confirm something:
Do ALL 6920 SOCOM lowers have the “M4A1 Carbine” rollmark as opposed to the “M4 Carbine” on standard 6920’s?
I’m trying to find a second rifle to purchase and I like the M4A1 rollmark, so before I go dropping ~1500 dollars I want to make sure that’s what I’m going to get.
Correct. We also have them in stock for $1399.

All socom lowers have M4A1 roll mark but the new model has a Troy rail not the KAC rail. Try to find the one with the KAC rail if it matters to you. Both come with KAC rail covers though so don’t be fooled…

Just a heads up, I know some had slipped threw the cracks without M4A1 rollmark. I had purchased one Brand new in box and it did not have the roll mark. Everything else was correct, but not the roll mark.

My 6920 has the M4A1 Carbine Rollmark. But how do you know if the Knights or Troy rail?
From looking at the pictures, the easiest way to differentiate them is the quick detach points on the Troy. The KAC rail does not have them.
Does Grant sell the ones with the KAC rail?
The most recent photo on Grant’s website shows the gun with the new Troy rail. It’s probably safe to assume that any SOCOM ordered from him will come with the new Troy rail.
