Lateral Movement With Larue LT104 Mount

I mounted my LT104 on my Colt 6721, and there is some lateral movement on the rail. It isn’t much, but noticeable. I only noticed it when closing the lens covers (requires a hard push) - it doesn’t just flop around.

Not sure if tightening the QD Levers is the correct route or if it will just “Wear In” and start doing it again. There is no rocking at all, and they start to tighten down on the rail at the 45 Deg Point.

Should I bother with it or just leave it alone?

I would tighten the levers.

With mine, the lever requires considerable pressure to close and open-just short of needing a tool. At the 45 degree point the lever should be tight, not just short of free-moving.

Thanks

When you mount it on your receivers rail, make sure to push the entire scope/mount forward before locking down the levers. Then make adjustments to the levers to tighten them down.
