They are already missed … especially by people who like Becker Knife & Tool products and Cold Steel’s former offerings in Carbon V.

It hurts even more since Schrade went belly-up a couple of years ago and has been replaced by another company with rights to their name and trademarks, but that does not produce products of comparable quality.

I think that only leaves Case among the old time American knife makers that did a lot of slipjoint folders.

Most of my Camillus knives are long gone, but I still use a Case lockblade Sodbuster I bought when I was 12. The lock is pretty worn so it doesn’t get used as much anymore. I wish they still made it with the lock.

This is actually news to me…when did Camillus go out of business? I have a D Ralph/Camillus neck knife and a USMC style 7" combat knife, both new in the box. Should I plan on keeping these in the safe now and using my Kabars instead?
