Larue Stealth Upper, any input please?

I had one and sold it like an idiot and was thinking that I would like to have another since I did not keep it long enough to really see if I liked it. Anyone with one that can give me your input, as I see they are now coming with black coated barrels and when I had mine it was staniless color. I tried the search button and it is not working…

Have they made anymore changes to their lineup like M4 feed ramps, etc???

What are you looking for it to do? Without knowing your intentions, its hard for anyone to give a legit answer.

Well, I have a Colt preban lower that I need an upper for. I would really like a M4 feed ramped upper with a Larue 11 inch rail system on it. Just basically a nice mid range rifle is what I am looking for. I am leaving my options open though, any suggestions. I have been looking at BCM uppers as well as Noveske too???

I have a 16/11 Stealth upper. Accuracy and reliability as advertised.

Mine does not have extended ramps. I have heard that there were some tweaks to the Stealth line, but what they are and to what extent they were done I don’t know. Recommend you go direct to LT for best info.

I’m unsure if mine has the M4 feedramps in the receiver or not, I’ll check later tonight.

That said, amazingly accurate uppers. The only downside is they’re porkers. The stainless steel barrel, combined with the overbuilt uppers and rails tend to make them quite heavy, even on my 12"/11" gooseneck setup.

Agree. To me though, on a fighting weapon, I WANT M4 feed ramps. On a target/bench weapon, it matters not.

C4, do you the complete Larue uppers in stock with the M4 feed ramp cuts/ I thought you did at one time…:confused:

Okay, embarrassing question here. I always here about M4 feed ramps, but I have no clue as to what they are. The feed ramps are the “star” looking thing that the bolt lugs fit into that guide the round into the chamber, correct? Are the M4 feed ramps just a different angle of the feed ramps? And what are the “other” non-M4 feed ramps called? M-16 feed ramps? AR-15 feed ramps?

I’ve been meaning to ask someone about this for a while now.

We do stock the stripped uppers (not complete uppers) with the M4 cuts in them.
