I’m wondering what Larue mount to use with a Trijicon TR21 or TR24, the SPR or the SPR-E mount? I usually mount the rifle with nose to CH or just shy of touching. Which do you use and why, if you don’t mind.
Sorry in advance if this has been answered. I tried using the onsite search and Webcrawler but no luck. Thanks.
For the TR21, you’d definitely need the SPR-E and possibly find yourself wishing it was extra “-E”
I think you can get by with the standard SPR mount for a TR24 but having the -E version will give you some versatility (you can always slide it back if needed).
Don’t forget that the 21 is 1" and the 24 is 30mm…
I just mounted a Nikon African in an SPR-E and it seems to be the right setup. This 1-4x (non-illum) is listed at 4" eye relief but it doesn’t seem quite that much. Not sure I’m the best judge of that. The scope seems to be very tolerant of varying eye relief position. Will get it on the range Sunday.
I was sweatin’ it some as to whether the -E was the right choice (vs SPR) but it seems good to go.
I’m glad to read the posts that the -E would work with the TR24 also as I’m inclined to upgrade to one someday if the African moves over to one of the leverguns.
