Larue and ADM 3x magnifier mounts

Quick background before I get to my questions. Just picked up an Aimpoint ML3 and an American Defense 68H mount. Loved the combo, ended up having to return the mount because I want to pick up an Aimpoint 3x Magnifier. In order to fit it on my colt I need a cantilever mount. So I set off on my research. I have a couple of concerns with each mount so I am turning to you guys hoping that you may have experience or knowledge for what I need. I’ve read the aimpoint vs adm mount threads and know that it’s a toss-up, but this comes down to specific questions regarding their mounts.

LT magnifier mount:
-I don’t like that it flips to the right and I can’t find any solid info on if it will work ok reversed so I can flip it to the left (left handed shooter).
-I don’t like that it seems to be a narrow plate that slides into contact with the upper receiver and may possibly wear that part down
-I do like that the ML3 mount has the extra battery compartment
-I do like that the finish of these seems to be a little cleaner than the ADM mounts

ADM magnifier mount:
-I don’t like that the mount swings/rotates the way it does leaving the magnifier facing the wrong direction. I feel like a quick 45° tilt to look down the magnifier when it is off to the side (ie on the larue mount) could be beneficial
-I don’t like that the two pieces in contact with each other while rotating it rub. It seems like it wouldn’t take much time for those parts to wear down and not hold solid any longer.
-I do like the lower price of going with this set (I plan to get mounts from the same manufacturer)

So if anyone has any input on my oddly worded questions, it would be greatly appreciated as I keep going back and forth and going through the checkout process for one and changing my mind at the last page and doing it for the other. Back and forth.

I own both. I’ve been using the ADM for over a year. No issues with the swivel mechanism. It does need to have some lubrication for a smooth transition. As far as when the ADM has the magnifier swiveled and not being able to use it as an ocular magnifier, this is an over-rated non issue for most.

Thanks for the response. What are your thoughts on the LaRue since you own both? Is it capable of being mounted to flip to the left with no problem? Is the contact point on it something to be concerned about in terms of wear on the upper? Thanks again.
