LaRue 3 Gun ----> 3rd day added.

Snuck out there today for about 30 minutes…wow the wind was howling out there. You can see in one of the pictures all the dust flying in the air. People’s hats were flying off…:stuck_out_tongue: This range windy 95% of the time.

Here we go…

Cool pics, thanks for sharing.

Thanks Belmont! Hope to see you tomorrow or Sun!

Here is our member Cold running Stage 1. He did really well!

M4fundi & Cold:

Great meeting you Belmont!

I would like to say that COLD is not only a great shooter (and moderator:p), but quite a gentleman to boot!
Really a great guy who “helped” everyone today! He is very generous with his knowledge unlike some. He is not an “on stage” kind of guy, but a real “Ambassador of the Sport” kind of guy. Noveske found a real winner with him! A real pleasure!

double post oops

Prize Tables:

Just wanted to comment on the shoot. BOTW (the range) is my home range and I usually shoot there once a week to every other week depending on what I’m doing. The wind out there can be brutal, and after talking to some shooters they weren’t quite used to it. Plus being a newish contructed range theres lots of bare dirt to kick up sand. I spent a few hours out there today, and my lips were coated in sand after applying some lip balm. Not expeirenced that since Kuwait/Iraq!

Anyways after seeing the competitions and whatnot I’ll be looking into getting into some 3 gun. My equipment is NOT setup for it but I can work around that, and make some changes. I used to shoot ATA trap so I’m pretty familiar with a shotgun. All I have right now is an old 870 Express. Need to obtain a Benelli M2 with some mods, and a good lightweight yet accurate 5.56 for rifle. Pistol is something I’ve neglected for the past year. Used to have some high end 1911’s and shot handgun once a week. I really haven’t shot a pistol in a long time… But we have some local matches here I’ll try to get in on and be ready to show my ass in the LaRue/TX 3 gun next year. At least I’ll have a leg up on the LR rifle comps since Ive been doing a lot of shooting from 250-750 at this windy range the last 8 months. Just need someone to throw sand at me while Im shooting…

Thanks to LT for the free food and drinks. I was turning into beef jerky out there! First good sun exposure of the year. Snagged a cool shirt from the shoot, and got to meet some cool people from the site. Cold, a mod here, and Noveske team shooter is a really nice dude who from what I saw knows how to run a gun pretty damn well…and is personable as well. Nice to put faces to names because I don’t know hardly anyone in real life off the site.

Is that a Bayoneting stage???

Belmont- M4Fundi helped me at my at my first 3-gun match up here in CO! Nothing wrong with an 870 pump to start, and handgun with hi-cap mags and an AR with a scope that will handle the ranges that you’ll shoot at. Who wouldn’t want to start shooting a Saiga shotgun, STI 2011 and a tricked out Noveske or LT but nothing wrong with an AR, Glock and your pump.

Great pics! Have fun shooting!

Yeah that was a bayonet to start the stage off with.

Not looking to spend a ton of money but with my prior trap experience a pump just isn’t my cup of tea when I need to shoot quickly. I’ve got experience with semi-auto’s and break action (Beretta 682X Gold Trap) shotguns, too. That 870 was what I first started shooting trap with when I was like 15. Ill probably shoot it until I can get something else going. I already converted it from a 28" barrel to an 18.5" w/ bead sight, WC extension, SS follower, ect.

Really nice pics. Thanks again for sharing, looks like an absolute blast for sure.

M4 and Belmont, it was great meeting you both. Thanks for coming out and spending your afternoon and morning with the 3 gun community. I hope you guys enjoyed the event and look forward to hopefully seeing you guys compete in the near future.

Belmont, thanks for the photos, I hope I didnt break your camera.

It was a great experience; looking forward to the 2012 edition already. Had a blast with the stages.
