Larry Vickers Combat Gloves...

Can someone tell me who is currently producing the Larry Vickers Combat Gloves?

Thanks.

i dont know who makes it right now, but i do know that lapolicegear.com has them on sale for $30. i just bought a pair to send to my friend at fallujah pd. i think he will be happy. i tried them on for size and they are pretty rugged. i think i will go with a size up though. they seem to run a bit small.

FPD? Now, that’s funny!

… UoFB, Class of '05.

Yep, both myself and my wife have a pair and we really like them. I was just curious as to whether Backyard Outfitters or Woolrich or whoever was producing them.

I don’t think that Backyard Outfitters was producing the gloves, or any of the other clothing items that they sold a ton of. The owner of B.O. used to post here and is an M4C site sponsor, maybe he will respond to your question?

Woolrich Elite produced them to LV specs for Backyard Outfitters.

I have 2 pairs and love them, GREAT value for the $

Manzella made them, IIRC.

It is my understanding that the “new” Backyard Outfitter, EOTAC, will still be selling the Vickers gloves. When Woolrich pulled the rug out from under Fernando, he kept the glove design. Hopefully, EOTAC will be up and running soon.

M4-

You are correct. Manzella did / does.

my good friend just deployed to the compound for fallujah police. he pointed me to an article in the washington post.

Can someone post a link to the LApolicegear sale? I get to the gloves page, but all I see are 5.11, Hatch, Wiley X and Blackhawk brands…$30 is a good price!

BRAIN FART, i meant to say botachtactical.com. i placed orders from 5 different places to get my buddy some gear. sorry about the confusion.

Yes, that’s where we got ours. Good price.

Just a personal opinion, I do not recommend Vickers gloves has my set fell apart after just 18 hours of use. I realize I’m a grain of sand on the beach. These fell apart way to quickly on me and I’m currently searching for a better glove.

2 day carbine course fell apart on the second day, about midday. The fingers came unstiched.
