In a group discussion that was heard by a number of people, Larry said that he had just had a fight with a family member. Larry said he had been at a family get-together, and he didn’t remember much about the fight because he had blacked out. When he came to, he was rolling on the ground, fighting with a family member, and his clothes were bloody. Now, he said, he was frightened that the Secret Service would come after him.

Rush, Savage, and Levin have been eluding to this since the day old Harry’s accident was announced. They all think he got his ass kicked by some of his umm “associates”.

Reid’s career in politics began in 1967 when he was elected to the Nevada State Assembly and in 1970 was elected Lieutenant Governor. He unsuccessfully ran for the United States Senate in 1974. From 1977 to 1981, Harry Reid was the Nevada state gaming commissioner. This led his character to be parodied in the 1995 film “Casino” played by Dick Smothers. During Reid’s tenure as gaming commissioner, he allowed the FBI to videotape businessman Jack Gordon, offering him a $12,000 bribe. Then, according to a Las Vegas Review-Journal account, Reid “put his hands around Gordon’s neck and said, ‘You son of a b-tch, you tried to bribe me!’” [6] In 1979 Gordon was arrested and sentenced to six months in jail.

Senator Harry Reid claims to be an ethical politician and he often employs his Mormon religion in order to demonstrate his alleged immaculacy. However, the reality is that he is, in fact, one of the most ethically challenged politicians in office today. This report will review his alliances with corrupt individuals, his support of ACORN, his ties with organized crime figures and his chronic failure to comply with campaign finance laws.

Harry Reid’s Alliance with Jack Abramoff

Soon after the Jack Abramoff scandal broke, Reid took the lead in attacking Republicans for fostering a “culture of corruption.” (1)

But shortly after making these comments, it was reported that Reid took almost $68,000 from Abramoff’s firm, its PAC and its Indian casino clients. (2)

Reid then tried to distance himself from Abramoff, stating, “[D]on’t lump me in with Jack Abramoff. This is a Republican scandal. Don’t try to give any of it to me.” (3)

Here’s the key passage:

Harry Reid wrote at least four letters helpful in Indian tribes represented by Jack Abramoff, and Reid’s staff had frequent contact with the disgraced lobbyist’s team about legislation….Reid collected nearly $68,000 in political donations from Abramoff’s firm, lobbying partners and clients…Abramoff’s firm also hired one of Reid’s top legislative aides as a lobbyist. On Wednesday, Reid named former Senate Sergeant at Arms Drew Willison as his new Chief of Staff, a move that raised concerns about conflict of interest.

As Breitbart News reported, in his role as Senate Sergeant of Arms Willison was a member of the three person Capitol Board, which supervises Capitol Police Chief Dine.

Willison held that position on January 1, 2015, the day on which Reid sustained severe injuries in his Henderson, Nevada home and was transported to St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson by his Capitol Police security detail.

The Capitol Police under Dine’s leadership have refused to release the event report of that incident, which should have been filed by Reid’s security detail.

And Harry is paying him off to keep his mouth closed.

Sen. Harry Reid’s brother, Larry Joe Reid, will be charged with drunken driving and a gun charge among others after a run-in with a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper, the Clark County district attorney’s office said Thursday

Reid responded by punching the trooper on the right side of his face two times, according to the report. He did not stop until the trooper managed to put the SUV into park and throw the keys away from the vehicle. The trooper struggled to get Reid on the ground and in handcuffs and called for backup once he managed to do so.

A second trooper arrived and questioned Reid, who said he was coming from Boulder City, was in an accident and had no idea how he got hurt. The report said Reid had no recollection of his interactions with highway patrol earlier in the night.

Scott wrote here about Harry Reid’s announcement that he will not run for re-election, a decision which, Reid was quick to say, was not the result of his “elastic exercise band” accident. In January, I wrote OK, So What Really Happened to Harry Reid? I noted the injuries that Reid suffered on New Year’s Day, in Las Vegas: multiple broken bones around his right eye, damage to the right eye, severe facial bruising, broken ribs, and a concussion. Was all of this really the result of losing his balance because an elastic exercise band broke? That seems unlikely, to say the least.

I’d give an entire paycheck to watch someone kick Harry Reid in the nuts. Just sayin…
