Large hole upper on small hole lower

Hello

I’m thinking of picking up a Colt 20in upper but it has the large hole on it. I see that DPMS has a “plug” that will convert the large hole to a small hole but I get wary when I hear DPMS and “fix” in the same sentence.

How legit is this work around? Would you bet your life on this or any other large hole small hole upper conversion?

That bushing that Brownell’s sells is made by DPMS.

BCM sells DPMS LPK’s, so they can’t be all bad.
