Hey guys, just wanted to make a quick post to show you what my 8", 1/2" thick AR500 steel target from bigdogsteel.com looks like after ~75 rounds of the light armor piercing 62gr PMC X-TAC 5.56 from 50 yards (sighting in new eotech 555)…first time shooting my BCM too and it was a true pleasure.
I’ll get a better pic from a more extreme angle tomorrow, but you can pretty much get the gist of it. It held up pretty good, I think. The bolts on the folding stand I ordered with the plate worked themselves loose after every 20-30 rounds, but nothing broke. Hope this helps anyone who was wondering how it would work…I’ll try to get something to show the depth of the marks, it’s not very deep at all.
