L3 / EOTech Service A-1

I just got my EOTech scope back from L3 yesterday. The scope is a simple 512 that was manufactured in June of 2005. I’ve had it on my patrol rifle for at least four years. Four rough years, it was beat to hell. Recently I started having some intermittent failures while shooting. So I contacted L3 and they told me to send it in for a check under the hood. Knowing that the warranty was only two years, I fully expected some repair costs. Well they had it for about a week or so. They completely rebuilt it, updating it to the current revision including the GG&G battery latch lever. They even included new mounting screws, two sets of batteries, a box and owners manual, since I had sent in just the sight. All for free, all it cost me was the original shipping to them.

Suffice to say I’m pretty impressed. They already had a customer for life but this just reinforces it. Excellent products with excellent customer service. What more can you ask for…L3 / EOTech ROCKS!

Would have to concur. This past spring I needed a new battery cover (mine got dinged badly) and wanted the large flat-head/knurled mounting screw to replace the allen key screw. They asked for my mailing address and shipped them out to me, no charge.

I am fairly new to the shooting community and got my first gun, the M&P 15 several months back. I am looking at optics and I have heard nothing but good things about the Eotech sights and am considering getting a 512. I was wondering if anyone has any any experience at shooting long distance say 100 yards + with one
